Role of Nepal Police important on peace and security: CM Raut
He reminded that the state government had urged the federal government to forward the process of recruitment in state police after the election.
MAHENDRANAAGR: Chief Minister of Madhesh State, Lalbabu Raut, has said Nepal Police has a significant role to maintain peace and security in the country.
Addressing a program organized by the Madhesh State Police Office on the occasion of 67th Police Day at Janakpurdham on Monday, CM Raut viewed Nepal Police can play an important role to conduct the elections of the House of Representatives, and State Assembly in free, fair and peaceful atmosphere.
He reminded that the state government had urged the federal government to forward the process of recruitment in state police after the election.
In order to make people realize the state government, the police organization must be brought under the state government, CM Raut argued.
On the occasion, Minister for Home Affairs and Communications, Bharat Prasad Sah, blamed the federal government’s obstruction for state government’s failure to recruit its own police persons.
