KATHMANDU: Nepal Police celebrated its 67th Police Day today with a program at the Police Headquarters. On this day in 2012 BC, the Nepal Police Organization was established.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand, Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal, heads of the Constitutional Commission, Chief of Army Staff, and other former police officers attended today’s program.

Aside from placing wreaths at the immortal police pillar, the family of the immortal Shaheed (martyr), who died within the last year, was also honored.

Several scholarships have also been awarded to outstanding family members of Amar police officers. Today, the current police constables and officers who excelled in the program were also recognized.
