Hearing of writ filed by Raju Gurung against cancellation of candidature postponed
The hearing on his petition to the Supreme Court to keep his candidacy was scheduled for Friday.
KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court will hear the writ petition filed by Raju Gurung, the candidate for the House of Representatives from Rupandehi Constituency No. 2, whose candidacy was canceled.
His candidacy on behalf of the CPN United Socialist Party was rejected after the Election Commission received a complaint alleging that he was involved in a banking crime case.
The hearing on his petition to the Supreme Court to keep his candidacy was scheduled for Friday.
His case was supposed to be heard in the court of Judge Hari Phuyal on Friday, but it was postponed.
