POKHARA: As there are no other modes of transportation and the area is remote, the candidates have requested that they be able to campaign in North Gorkha using helicopters.

Rajendra Bajgain, the Congress candidate for Gorkha Constituency No. 1, and Nanda Prasad Neupane, a member of the state assembly, have both demanded that helicopters be allowed to fly in North Gorkha.

They have requested permission to fly the helicopter by submitting a request to the district’s Chief Electoral Officer’s office. Both candidates have requested to fly the helicopter, according to Chief Electoral Officer Tejendra Prasad Sharma.

The road network in the Chumanuwrii and Dharche areas has not been expanded. They are demanding the use of helicopters as walking on foot is impossible and horses cannot walk due to the constant rain.

The district’s Office of the Chief Electoral Officer does not have the authority to grant permission for the helicopter flight, so the application has been sent to the Election Commission, according to the office. Helicopters were also used in the previous elections in that area.
