Two people killed, one injured in Kavre landslide

KATHMANDU: Two people were killed in Kavre when their house was destroyed by a landslide.

Two members of the same family died when a landslide destroyed their house in Kavre. One person was injured.

Nir Bahadur Tamang, 44, and Sabitri Tamang, 40, were killed when a landslide from a stone quarry fell on their house at 3:30 a.m., according to DSP Anjana Shrestha, District Police Office Kavre Deputy Superintendent.

Thulimaya Tamang, 65, was injured, according to him. She was rescued and transported to Banepa for medical treatment.

Although the three landslide victims are said to be from the same family, their relationship is yet to be revealed.
