One person died in a tiger attack

CHITWAN: A tiger attacked an elderly man in Madi, killing him.

Suryanath Adhikari, 68, of Madi Municipality-2 Dhikun has been identified as deceased.

The tiger attacked the officer who went to the community forest to graze buffaloes on Saturday, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijayraj Pandit, spokesperson for the District Police Office Chitwan.

The officer, who had been missing since Saturday, was discovered dead today at 8:30 a.m.

According to the office, the body was discovered in the Central Community Forest Amiliya in a state that appeared to have been attacked by a tiger.

The body was taken to Bharatpur Hospital for an autopsy.
