In Pics: Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party protesting against Citizenship Bill

KATHMANDU: In opposition to the Citizenship Bill, the Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party is holding a protest meeting near the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor today.

They gathered in Koteshwor and marched to Min Bhawan, where they held a protest meeting on Min Bhawan’s street.

The meeting is being addressed by central leaders of the Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party.

The bill, which had been passed by Parliament and sent to the President for verification, was returned to Parliament, with the request that the President reconsider it.

The Citizenship Bill is currently being debated in Parliament.
