Demonstration against Citizenship Bill in front of Parliament, 7 people arrested (with photos)

KATHMANDU: A protest in front of Parliament House was held in opposition to the Citizenship Bill.

Patriotic Youth of Nepal demonstrated against the Citizenship Bill on Thursday at Parliament House in New Baneshwor.

During the protest, police arrested seven protesters. The detained protestors are being held at the Police Circle in New Baneshwor.

The government recently passed the Citizenship Bill in both parliaments.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari returned the bill passed by Parliament to Parliament without verification.
