KATHMANDU: Niharika Rajput, who was arrested in Singha Durbar, was taken to Basantapur and released.

She came for a hunger strike in front of the southern gate of Singha Durbar with a child today as the agreement with the state had not been implemented, and the police arrested her and took her to Basanatpur.

According to the police, Niharika was taken to Basantapur from Singha Darbar after protesting her arrest, claiming that it was her civil right to do so.

She went to Singha Durbar for a hunger strike with one of the activists.

According to the police, Niharika was arrested as the southern gate of the Singha Durbar is a prohibited area where protests, including hunger strikes, are prohibited.

Niharika, who had previously gone on hunger strike, ended her fast on June 16 after reaching an agreement with the government on five points.
