Gandaki government to build vehicle charging stations at 6 locations in state

KATHMANDU: The Gandaki state government plans to construct charging stations in six locations. To emphasize the importance of electric vehicles, the government has budgeted for the construction of charging stations.
Energy Minister Harisharan Acharya stated that stations will be built in Parbat, Waling, Pokhara, Dumre, Aanbu Khaireni, and Kawasoti in the first phase. The government has set aside 1 crore for this purpose in the current fiscal year.
Previously, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development claimed responsibility for budget implementation; however, it is now under the Ministry of Energy. “Physics is incapable of implementing it.” He lacks an energy expert,’ Acharya explained. ‘It is not good that our ministry’s employees will be out of work, and it is not good to find new employees and implement the plan.’
As a model, the state government has already installed charging stations in various locations and hotels. But electric vehicles have not entered as expected by the government.
Even the station that has been built is said to be underutilized.
