Singer Dilmaya Sunar found dead, one arrested

KATHMANDU: Dilmaya Sunar, a Dohari singer, was found dead in her own room. She was found dead in her room at 11:45 on Saturday.

Sunar, a Surkhet native, had been living in a rented room in Nepaltar, Kathmandu. On Friday night, she posted a Facebook status about how difficult it was for her to survive.

Police have arrested one person while investigating the incident of her death. Police have begun an investigation into Sunar’s death.

That young man, according to police, entered the deceased Sunar’s room on Saturday morning.

Sunar was also declared the best in the National Folk Dohari Song Competition held a few months ago.
