Orientation for Nepali language teachers

POKHARA: A one-day orientation has been organized for Nepali language teachers here on Saturday. The orientation was hosted by Nepali Language Teachers Council Kaski.

On the occasion, Indu Khanal, a Nepali subject matter curriculum officer at the Curriculum Development Center, facilitated the recently changed Nepali curriculum and textbook awareness for Grades 9 and 7.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief of Education Division, Pokhara Metropolitan City, Hemprasad Acharya, urged teachers to teach on the basis of curriculum and said that learning outcomes can be achieved only through proper use of teacher’s guide, specialization schedule and lesson hours.

Council Chair Dilliram Aryal expressed the belief that orientation would make teaching and learning effectively. Advisors of the Council Associate Professor Punya Prasad Sharma, Principal of Global Collegiate Baburam Pant, Former Chairman of the Council Lok Chandra Khanal, Dolaraj Aryal, Advisor Dinesh Sapkota, Secretary of the Council Surya Prasad Lamsal, Vice Chairman Bikram Poudel, Program Coordinator Shivahari Subedi and others spoke on the need and importance of such orientation.
