DHANGADHI: Pushparaj Kunwar has been re-elected president of the Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Kunwar, who is also a central member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, won the second term along with the panel.

Surendra Rathi, another chairperson candidate, was defeated by him by 323 votes. Kunwar received 678 votes, while Rathi polled 355 votes.

Pushkar Raj Ojha of the Kunwar panel was elected senior vice chairperson, followed by Dinesh Lamsal as industry vice-chairperson, Manoj Agrawal as associate vice-chairperson, and Laxman Raj Panta as commodity vice-chairperson, Om Bahadur Bista as general secretary, Bhim Raj Ojha Abbu as treasurer, and Suresh Pandey as secretary.

Voting for the new leadership of the Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held on Saturday.

The Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry had over 1600 registered voters, but only 1095 voted.
