Emphasis on tree planting, environment protection in Nagarjun by NMB Bank

KATHMANDU: As part of the NMB Green Fixed Deposit Campaign, NMB Bank planted a variety of fruit trees at Shyameshwar Ganeshman Memorial Community Forest in Nagarjuna on the occasion of Environment Day.
One Hundred Twenty-Five saplings of various species have been planted in the community forest in the name of NMB customers who have green fixed deposits.
The event was attended by Community Forest Chairperson Arjun Raj Puri, Assistant Forest Officer Saraswati Aryal, Bank employees, and members of the general public.
It has been informed that trees have been planted across the country in an effort to promote environmental protection and maintain a healthy balance with regard to environmental responsibility.
The bank stated that the scheme would not only provide customers with fair returns but would also send the message that environmental protection and economic benefits can coexist.
