KATHMANDU: The share market index fell on Monday, the first trading day of the week.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which has been declining in recent week, has dropped 12.92 points to 1065.78 points on this day. On the day, 449,691 shares valued at Rs 1 billion 273.33 million 85 thousand 2 hundred 76 rupees were traded.

On the day, shares in 87 of 228 companies rose. The value of 97 companies fell, while the value of 12 remained constant.

Development Bank, Finance, Production and Processing, Mutual Funds, and other groups have risen in the group indicators. All other groups’ indicators have decreased.

On this day, the share price of the largest beneficiary microfinance institution increased by 10%. Balephi Hydropower, Narayani Development Bank, Mithila Microfinance, Siddhartha Equity Fund, and other companies’ shares have also increased. The share price of Himalayan Bank Limited has dropped the most, by 9.99 percent.
