Nijgadh airport is our need: Finance Minister Sharma

KATHMANDU: MAY. 30 – Nijgadh International Airport, according to Finance Minister Janardan Sharma, is a “need of the government.” He stated this at a press conference held on Saturday at the Ministry of Finance.

Nijgadh Airport is a necessity, he says, and we have prioritized such necessities.

He also claimed that the current budget includes funding for all sectors. According to the constitution, he presented the budget in parliament on Sunday, May 29, and stated, “This time we have brought the budget covering all sectors.”

The Supreme Court has halted the construction of Nijgadh Airport, in which Rs 3 billion has already been invested.
