NC won in Panchkhal mayor & UML in deputy mayor
The deputy mayor of Congress has lost here.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 23 – Nepali Congress has won in Kavre district’s Panchkhal Municipality.
Mahesh Kharel of the Congress won with 12,836 votes. Kanchan Adhikari of the UML came in second with 8,115 votes.
Surya Kumari Danuwar of the UML has been elected deputy mayor. She polled 9,534 votes. Chet Prasad Gautam of the Maoist center obtained 9,010 votes, his closest rival.
The Nepali Congress had previously won in Panchkhal. The deputy mayor of Congress has lost here.
