More than 89,000 votes counted in Bharatpur, Renu’s lead exceed 7,000

KATHMANDU: MAY. 22 – Renu Dahal, a ruling coalition candidate for mayor of Chitwan’s Bharatpur Metropolitan City, has maintained her lead. Counting 89,408 votes, she has got 7,415 votes more votes than CPN-Bijay UML’s Subedi.

Dahal obtained 35,098 votes, while Subedi got 27,683 votes.

Jagannath Poudel, an independent candidate for mayor, polled 11,835 votes.

Chitrasen Adhikari of the Congress secured 37,326 votes for deputy mayor, while Himla Gurung of the RPP obtained 21,900votes.
