More than 83,000 votes counted in Bharatpur, Renu garnered 32,519 votes

KATHMANDU: MAY. 22 – Renu Dahal, a ruling coalition candidate for mayor of Chitwan’s Bharatpur Metropolitan City, has maintained her lead. With 83,111 votes counted, she has 6,939 more votes than CPN-Bijay UML’s Subedi.

Dahal obtained 32,519 votes, while Subedi got 25,580 votes.

Jagannath Poudel, an independent candidate for mayor, polled 11,296 votes.

Chitrasen Adhikari of the Congress secured 34,934 votes for deputy mayor, while Himla Gurung of the RPP obtained 20,031 votes.
