Indian PM Modi returns home
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba bade farewell to the Indian Prime Minister.
LUMBINI: MAY. 16 – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived Lumbini this morning in connection with an official visit to Nepal, returned home this afternoon on a special helicopter of the Indian Air Force.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba bade farewell to the Indian Prime Minister at the helipad constructed near the International Buddhist Prayer Centre and Auditorium here in Lumbini.
First Lady Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand, Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Renu Kumari Yadav, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Devendra Poudel, also saw off Indian Prime Minister Modi.
Similarly, Chief Minister of Lumbini State, Kul Prasad KC, Chief Secretary of the government, Shanker Das Bairagi, Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal, Nepali Ambassador to India, Dr Shanker Sharma, Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, Namya Khampa, were also present on the occasion.
PM Modi had arrived here this morning, leading an 11-member delegation.
