Time for polling ends

KATHMANDU: MAY. 13 – Local elections have concluded with voting in 753 municipalities across the country.

Apart from a few isolated incidents across the country, the Election Commission reports that voting has been peaceful and encouraging.

The commission had scheduled voting from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The percentage of votes cast across the country has not yet been made public by the commission.

The commission has stated that the vote counting will begin shortly.
