Meeting of NBA concludes, decision not to raise interest rates in Jestha

KATHMANDU: MAY. 11 – A meeting of the Nepal Bankers Association (NBA) held on Wednesday has decided not to increase the interest rate which is said to be increased next Jestha (May/June).

Commercial banks have already decided to maintain interest rates. The meeting of the commercial banks has concluded that the interest rate will be kept at 11.03 percent for one year term deposit for the time being.

Development banks and finance companies have also decided not to raise interest rates as commercial banks will not raise interest rates.
