All areas of country should be audited: Finance Minister Sharma

KATHMANDU: MAY. 3 – Honesty, cleanliness, and a sense of responsibility, according to Finance Minister Janardan Sharma, are required in the field of good financial governance.
On Tuesday, Finance Minister Sharma told a national gathering organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal in Kathmandu that the role of auditing and regulatory bodies in good financial governance could not be right, which would make a big difference.
He stated that he believed that using one tool in regulatory bodies and another would present a significant challenge.
According to Finance Minister Sharma, using tools for personal gain would cause a major national problem. He stated that not only should the accounts be audited, but also the various areas of the country.
He stated that the country’s production and agricultural land, labor, and multi-dimensional poverty should all be audited.
He made it clear that, while he was responsible for the problems in the financial sector today, he would also investigate the incorrect audits that occurred yesterday.
He believes that the situation of importing food items worth Rs 3 trillion should be investigated as well.
