KATHMANDU: MARCH. 31 – For the past few days, the sky over Kathmandu Valley has been covered with dust and pollution. The valley is covered in dust and haze as a result of excessive air pollution, low airflow, and a lack of rainfall.

According to the statistics of the Department of Environment, the amount of PM 2.5 in Kirtipur of Kathmandu was 86 micrograms per cubic meter on Wednesday. PM2.5 means that less than 2.5 micrograms of pollutants are mixed in the air. Environmentalists say pollution is more lethal.

According to environmentalists, the valley’s sky will not be clear unless there are strong winds or rain. Low visibility has hampered domestic flights at Tribhuvan International Airport, which use both VFR and IFR technology.
