KATHMANDU: MARCH. 27 – The demand for the temporary police force has nearly tripled the number of applications received for the local level election. According to Nepal Police, 293,216 people from across the country have applied for the post.

27,834 in Bagmati and 13,950 in Kathmandu Valley, 25,050 in Gandaki, 68,006 in Madhesh and 56,560 in Lumbini, State 1, 50 thousand 944, in Karnali 21 thousand 245 and in the Far West 29 thousand 714 people have filled the form of temporary police.

Those who have applied have been informed to contact the District Police Office on Sunday.

‘We are preparing to begin the health examination and physical fitness test on Tuesday, with the final results being made public on April 8.’

For the selection of temporary police, each district has formed a six-member committee, which is coordinated by the CDO.
