Myadi police application form opens [Photos]

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 20 – The Naxal Police Headquarters has opened the application process for recruitment by publishing information about the Myadi police (temporary police).

Since Sunday, crowds have gathered at various district police offices. At the Kathmandu Valley Metropolitan Police and other District Police Offices, there is a long queue of applicants.

Nepal Police had demanded 100,000 Myadi police for the March 15 local level election. The application deadline is March 25.

According to Nepal Police, one must have completed 18 years of age and not be older than 54 years. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sudip Giri, Chief of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police, stated that the number of applicants has increased due to increased interest in the Myadi police force. He also said that there was an opportunity to serve the country.

The government is preparing to deploy the selected Myadi police by training them for seven days. The Myadi police will get the same facilities as the police personnel and will get a salary at the rate of Rs. 756 per day. Food allowance of Rs 7,000 for 40 days, dress allowance of Rs 6,000 and transport expenses of Rs 1,000 will be provided.
