Nepali students in US holding an international scientific conference
WASHINGTON: MARCH. 8 – As in the previous years, the Nepalese Students Association (NeSA) at New Mexico State University (NMSU), Las Cruces, NM is going to organize its 13th international conference virtually.
The theme for the conference is “Advancing Science for the Greater Good”, which is believed to represent diverse fields and researchers from different institutions and organizations are invited to be a part of the program.
The main thrust of the conference is to bring diverse scholars from different parts of the world to disseminate their research. The conference is scheduled for Saturday– April 9th, 2022, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (MST). The abstract submission-open now- has a deadline of March 26, 2022.
As per the conference coordinator and academic director of NeSA, Sharad Mahatara, they are at the final stage of advanced preparatory tasks and are expecting decent participation of heterogenous presenters and audiences from across the world. He added, “unlike previous years, this conference is expected to be more pragmatic and engaging as we have made our theme broader and more inclusive for divergent researchers from varying fields.”
NeSA has announced, one of the most influential women in the Bay Area, Dr. Shabnam Koirala-Azad who is the first female dean of the School of Education at the University of San Francisco as the keynote speaker of the conference. Similarly, Dr. Elina Adhikari, Dr. Basant Giri, Dr. Sangeet Lamichhaney, Dr. Rishi Sapkota, Dr. Tara Sigdel, and Dr. Anna Stirr are going to be the guest speakers for the conference.
President of NeSA, Krishna Acharya, said, they are very excited about the conference and are expecting a great participation of presenters and audiences as it is going to be an informative and interesting session to share and know about different ideas and work in different scientific fields.
Presentations and posters are called from the researchers; could be post-doctoral, graduate or undergraduate students from anywhere around the world.
The advisor of the organization Dr. Ram Acharya said, “We encourage participants from all fields to participate in the conference and share their work and experience in the science or any other field and contribute the society through their research.”
