NRB asks banks for more than 700,000 transaction details

KATHMANDU: FEB. 3 – The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has asked commercial banks for information of cash transactions of Rs 700,000 or more.

The supervision department of NRB has written to the banks asking them to provide such details.

Now, when and why did the banks withdraw the amount including the name and account number of the cash transactions of more than Rs 7 lakh from last Shrawan to Poush? Including all the details have to be sent to the Rastra Bank.

The Rastra Bank has asked the banks to send the details by Feb 7.
