KATHMANDU: JAN. 28 – The Valley’s chief district officials will meet to talk about infection control, including a new COVID-19 variation named Omicron.

In the afternoon, residents from the three districts will gather at the District Administration Office in Kathmandu for a meeting.

From January 21 onwards, an odd-even system has been implemented in public and private vehicles in Kathmandu Valley. A discussion is being conducted on how to make the odd-even system more methodical, according to Kathmandu Chief District Officer Govinda Prasad Rijal.

On Saturday, football will be played between Nepal and Mauritius. The All Nepal Football Association has urged that spectators be permitted to attend the tournament. The issue will also be discussed at the meeting, according to Rijal.

The odd-even system, which has been in place for about a week, appears to have increased the vulnerability of the ordinary individual.
