UML-LOSAPA alliance to be formed in NA elections

JANAKPURDHAM: JAN. 20 – In Madhesh Pradesh’s upcoming National Assembly election on January 26, the CPN-UML and the Democratic Socialist Party (LOSAPA) will establish an electoral alliance.

UML and LOSAPA announced an alliance in Madhesh State for the National Assembly elections at a press conference in Janakpur on Thursday.

Raghubir Mahaseth, the UML Secretary, and Jitendra Sonal, the Chairperson of the LSP Madhesh Committee, were also present. Bina Devi of the UML withdrew her candidacy after the alliance. The candidates will now be UML’s Usman Ansari and LOSAPA’s Rupa Yadav.

The ruling coalition has fielded Urmila Aryal of the UCPN (Maoist) Central Committee and Mohammad Khalid of the JSP.

In Madhesh State, which has 104 members, there are 39 MPs from JSP, 16 from UML, 8 from UML, 19 from Congress, 13 from UCPN-M, 8 from UCPN-M and 8 from Nepal Federal Socialist Party. In addition, there are 268 chiefs and deputy chiefs of the municipality.
