State 2 been renamed Madhesh

KATHMANDU: JAN. 17 – Madhesh is the new name for State 2. The name of the state was decided by a vote held on Monday in the secretariat of the state parliament.

According to the constitution, the names of the states need the support of two-thirds of the members of the state assembly. In-State 2, which has 104 members, 80 voted in favor of Madhesh. Which has received more than two-thirds of the votes in the state assembly.
