PM Deuba congratulates Central Zone Champion Women’s Team

KATHMANDU: DEC. 29 – Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has congratulated the Nepali National Women’s Team for winning the title of Asian Central Zone Women’s Volleyball.

He praised the team on social media after winning the title for the second time in a row.

In the days ahead, Prime Minister Deuba wished the Nepali team great results. The Nepali women’s team won the tournament after defeating Uzbekistan 3-2 in the final on Tuesday in Bangladesh.

Nepal defeated Uzbekistan 26-24, 24-26, 25-15, 25-22 and 15-11 in a competitive match at Shahid Survardi Indoor Stadium in Dhaka.

Six countries including Nepal participated in the competition. Nepal had won the title by defeating the Maldives in the final of the first edition of the tournament held in Bangladesh in 2019.
