Two killed in road accident in Sarlahi
MALANGWA: DEC. 26 – Last night, two persons were killed in a separate road accident in the Sarlahi district. According to Sarlahi Police, a woman was killed in a bicycle accident and a man was killed in a motorcycle accident.
Saiful Khatun, 55, of Laxmipur in Haripur Municipality-6 on the Malangwa-Nawalpur road section, was killed when she was hit by a bicycle. On Saturday evening, Khatun was hit by a bicycle while crossing the road. Khatun died Friday night while receiving treatment in Janakpur, according to Sarlahi Police Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Budhathoki.
Police have taken the cyclist under control. Meanwhile, a person was killed when an unmarked vehicle hit a motorcycle at Banke Jungle of Sarlahi along the East-West Highway.
Bhim Gurung, 57, of Lalbandi Municipality-7, has been identified as the deceased. Gurung, who was badly injured in the collision, was sent to the Malangwa District Hospital for treatment. At the spot, he was pronounced dead.
