Counting of votes of 5 Joint General Secretary of NC has started
KATHMANDU: DEC. 17 – The counting of votes for the Joint General Secretary of the five ‘clusters’ of the Nepali Congress has begun. The counting of votes started at 11 am on Friday at the party office, Sanepa.
According to Tej Bahadur Rawal, a member of the Nepali Congress Election Committee, the votes of the Joint General Secretaries from Khas-Arya, Madhesi, Muslim, Tharu and backward areas are being counted. He said that the counting of votes of five Joint General Secretary is taking place in five places.

The results of the post of Joint General Secretary of Women, Dalit and Adivasi Janajati cluster have been announced on Thursday night. Mahendra Yadav from the Sher Bahadur Deuba panel, Ram Krishna Yadav from the Shekhar Koirala panel and Ram Krishna Yadav from the Bimalendra Nidhi panel are vying for the post of Joint General Secretary of the Madhesi group.
Kishor Singh Rathore from the Deuba panel, Devraj Chalise from the Koirala panel are the Joint General Secretaries of the Khas Arya group, while Umakanta Chaudhary from the Deuba panel and Tejulal Chaudhary from the Koirala panel are candidates in the Tharu cluster.
Farmullah Mansur from the Deuba panel as Joint General Secretary of Muslim cluster and Sheikh Wakil is the candidate from Koirala and Nidhi’s panel. Jeevan Bahadur Shahi from the Deuba panel, Badri Pandey from the Koirala panel and Chetraj Baral from the Nidhi panel are the candidates for the post of Joint General Secretary of backward constituency cluster.
