Oli, Prachanda and Nepal sharing the stage after a year
KATHMANDU: DEC. 10 – KP Sharma Oli, Chairperson of the CPN-UML, Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Chairperson of the CPN-Maoist Center, and Madhav Kumar, Chairperson of the CPN-Unified Socialist Nepal will attend the same forum after a long time.
Leaders who have publicly criticized each other are scheduled to attend the inaugural ceremony of the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress. Simultaneously, interest in what they have to say has grown.
UML Chairperson Oli and UCPN (M) Chairperson Prachanda have been seen on the same platform for about a year now. Oli will attend the Congress General Convention on Friday, according to his secretariat.
Oli and Dahal have not been seen on the same platform since the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli dissolved the House of Representatives for the first time on Dec 20. Similarly, long-time Oli and Nepal have not met for about five months.
After a long time, these three leaders, who have appeared on the same platform, have become more interested in what they will say.
Nepal was not invited to the tenth general convention of the CPN-UML and Prachanda did not attend the invitation. Leader Leela Mani Poudel addressed the gathering on behalf of the Maoists.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was present on the occasion.
