One killed, 22 injured in bus accident in Jhapa

BIRATNAGAR: NOV. 28 – One person has died in a bus accident in Jhapa in the afternoon. The accident took place at Biring Bridge of Kankai Municipality-8 of Jhapa along the East-West Highway.

The bus (Na 5 Kha 8041) heading from east to west collide into the railing of the bridge, police said. One person was killed and 22 others were injured in the accident.

Among the injured, Utsav Poudel, 16, of Kankai Municipality-7 died while undergoing treatment, according to the State Police Office, Biratnagar.

Of the other injured, 11 are undergoing treatment at B & C Hospital and 11 at Birta City Hospital, Birtamode.
