Why was the prohibitory order issued in Janakpur?

KATHMANDU: NOV. 13 – In Janakpur, the local administration has issued a prohibitory order after a dispute between the Hindu and Muslim communities escalated. A prohibitory order has been issued from 2 pm on Saturday to 10 pm on Sunday.

There was a dispute between the Hindu and Muslim communities over the celebration of Chhath at Telia Pond in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-20. A clash has broken out with the police after the local Hindu community tried to enter the pond on a motorcycle rally on Saturday.

Chief District Officer Bandu Prasad Bastola said that the administration had issued a prohibitory order after the situation was not under control.
