One lakh dose of Pfizer vaccine sent by USA has reached Nepal

KATHMANDU: OCT. 25 – The Pfizer vaccine against coronavirus, which was received through a grant from the United States, has arrived in Nepal. 100,620 doses of Pfizer vaccine arrived in Kathmandu on Monday morning.

The vaccine has been made available to Nepal through the World Health Organization (WHO) under the Covax facility. The vaccine will be given to chronically ill people above 12 years of age, according to the Ministry of Health. Similarly, 6 million vaccines are being brought to Nepal in the coming Dec/Jan.

The government is preparing to vaccinate children. The government has stated that it has already prepared the necessary ultra cold chain for the storage of vaccines.

Like Covishield, AstraZeneca and Vero Cell, Pfizer vaccine should be given in two doses at one-month intervals.
