Iran’s nuclear scientist killed by remote-controlled machine gun
ITAHARI: SEPT. 19 – A report in The New York Times claims that Israeli intelligence was involved in the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
The newspaper reported that Fakhrizadeh was killed in November 2020 by a team from Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency using a remote-controlled machine gun.
The machine gun took less than a minute to complete. According to the report, the FN MAG machine gun made in Belgium was connected to a state-of-the-art robotic device.
The satellite, which is equipped with artificial intelligence and high-powered satellite computer technology, can fire up to 600 rounds a minute.
The equipment weighs about 1 ton. It is said to have been smuggled into Iran in small pieces and attached there.
In November, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani accused Israel of killing Fakhrizadeh and said it would not slow down its nuclear program. He also warned that Iran would retaliate in due course.
Who was Mohsen Fakhrizadeh?
He was a renowned Iranian nuclear scientist and a senior member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Security sources in the West have long described him as a powerful figure in Iran’s nuclear program.
He was considered the father of Iran’s nuclear program. In 2018, Israel claimed to have obtained some secret documents that found Mohsin to have launched Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
At the time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Fakhrizadeh as one of the leading scientists in Iran’s nuclear program and said, “Remember that name.” In 2015, The New York Times compared Mohsen Fakhrizadeh to J. Robert Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer is the scientist who built the first atomic bomb during World War II.
