Distribution of free masks to more than 1900 people
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 19 – In the last 24 hours, free masks have been distributed to 1,974 people under the ‘Tapai Ko Mask Khoi?’ A program run by the Nepal Police for the prevention and reduction of risk of COVID-19 infection. Under the program, free masks have been distributed to 1,135,995 people since April 19.
In view of the increasing incidence of COVID-19 infection with the new variant, the Nepal Police in order to properly implement the security measures prescribed to prevent the infection in view of the problems and challenges it may create, with the slogan ‘Save yourself from infection and save others’. It is conducting various awareness programs as a campaign.
A fine of Rs 6,100 has been imposed on 61 people for violating the prohibitory order issued by the local administration for the prevention and control of COVID-19.
In the process, 343 people violating health standards have been detained and released. In addition, 2,052 people have been alerted under 32 awareness programs including miking, placards, pamphlets and pamphlets across the country.
