Armed police officer drowns in lake

DHANGADHI: SEPT. 16 – An officer of the Armed Police Force has drowned in a lake in Kanchanpur district. Jit Bahadur Chaudhary, 25, of Khiriya in Belauri Municipality-3 of the district has drowned in Bandhatal.

According to Siddharaj Neupane, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Chaudhary, who went missing after drowning while swimming in Bandhatal with his friends, was found dead two hours later. According to him, Chaudhary had come home on leave.

The body of the deceased Chaudhary has been kept at the mortuary of Belauri Health Post for postmortem. Chaudhary was currently working at Shaileshwari Battalion No. 35 at Jhalari in Kanchanpur.
