Ministry of Foreign Affairs directive: Stop the election process of NRNA
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 13 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed to stop the election process of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed to postpone the remaining process related to the election of NRNA’s International Coordinating Council and National Coordinating Council.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement directing to postpone the election process after a complaint was lodged alleging rigging in the selection of delegates for the 10th General Convention of NRNA.
The ministry has clarified that three people have lodged complaints. The Ministry has stated that the Government of Nepal has formed a monitoring committee to investigate the selection of delegates to the General Convention.
