Oli called a meeting of the standing committee and the parliamentary party

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 17 – CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has convened a meeting of the Standing Committee and the Parliamentary Party. Oli has called a meeting of the parliamentary party and the standing committee in the last-ditch effort to save the party from the feet.

While the Deuba government was preparing to bring an ordinance on party split, Chairman Oli convened a meeting of the standing committee at 11 am and a meeting of the parliamentary parties at 3 am, said standing committee member Chhavilal Bishwokarma. The standing committee will sit at the Tulsilal Memorial Foundation in Chyasal while the meeting of the parliamentary parties has been convened at the Parliament House, Baneshwor.

Chairman Oli issued a statement on Monday night calling for party unity. Some leaders of the standing committee had reached Oli’s residence in Balkot only on Monday evening.
