Common policy, programmes positive: CNI
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 10 – The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has welcomed the common minimum programme unveiled by the coalition government on Sunday, saying that it had emphasized industrialization, production-oriented economy and control of coronavirus.
‘Make in Nepal National Campaign’ launched by CNI would be propped up by the government’s programme of production-focused economy, CNI said, adding that the Make in Nepal campaign was also the production-oriented economy.
The CNI’s campaign was for the production of goods and services within the country and their promotion. The plan to replace the import with national products is a welcome step, it added.
Also welcomed by the CNI is the announcement of a guarantee of vaccines to all eligible populations within the coming March, relief package to the industries, tourism, media and transport sectors that suffered much in the face of COVID-19.
