KMC treating sex victims, HIV victims and orphans free of cost

KATHMANDU: JUNE 25 – Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) has announced free treatment for sex victims, HIV victims and orphans. KMC has stated that it will provide free treatment to sex victims, HIV victims and orphans on the recommendation of Maiti Nepal.

Maiti Nepal and KMC, which have been working on domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, child labor and women’s rights for a long time, reached an agreement today to provide free treatment services. On behalf of KMC, Executive Chairman Dr. Chairman Anuradha Koirala and Executive Director Bishwaram Khadka have signed the agreement on behalf of Sunil Sharma and Director Bijay Kumar Pandey and Maiti Nepal.

KMC is now offering free treatment to sex victims, HIV victims and hundreds of orphans on the recommendation of Maiti Nepal. Sunil Sharma informed. According to him, this service will be available for all the communities affiliated to Maiti Nepal.

Sharma said that Kathmandu Medical College provides free healthcare services worth Rs 5 million annually. According to Sharma, KMC will provide all kinds of health services free of cost except medicines.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Maiti Nepal President Anuradha Koirala said that the readiness shown by Kathmandu Medical College in the treatment and rehabilitation of women and children who have been victims of violence in the society due to various reasons was exemplary. Koirala is confident that the cooperation shown by the private sector in the neglected areas will help in the campaign of Maiti Nepal and help in the health treatment of thousands of sex victims, HIV victims and orphans.

Dr. Sharma, a social worker who is also the director of Nobel Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar. Since Sharma’s entry into KMC, KMC has brought various social responsibility programs. KMC, which had earlier started conducting free health camps in the villages, will soon be bringing specialized medical services into operation.

For the first time in Nepal, it has been announced to start ‘robotic surgery’. Kathmandu Medical College has arranged free treatment in collaboration with the Government of Nepal to fight against Corona. In addition, with Dr. Sharma’s entry, OPD service has also been provided free of cost at KMC.
