KATHMANDU: MAY 27 – In Kathmandu Valley, the administration office has made alternative arrangements for the purchase of food items.

The administration has made alternative arrangements for the purchase of food items after protesting against the decision to close grocery stores and department stores in the extended injunction from Jestha 14 to 20. Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli, informed that arrangements have been made to order essential items from Nepal Food Management and Trade Company Limited and Salt Trading Corporation Limited.

Parajuli said that arrangements have been made to deliver food items including pulses and rice to households through mobile vans if the citizens order food items. He also clarified that the one-week prohibitory order imposed to control the Corona will be tightened.

Parajuli has even warned that strict action will be taken against those who violate the prohibitory order issued by the administration. He said that the border checkpoints have been tightened to prevent further spread of Corona infection in the valley.
