Turnover of Rs 11 billion as NEPSE fell by 6 points

KATHMANDU: MAY 25 – The stock market declined by 6.50 points on Tuesday, the third trading day of the year.

The NEPSE index fell 0.23 percent to 503.99 points by the end of trading on Tuesday. On this day, the Sensitive Index has decreased by 4.51 points and reached 2816.48 points.

Of the 13 groups that traded today, indicators of mutual funds, microfinance, life insurance, non-life insurance, hydropower and others rose. All indicators of hotels and tourism, trade, development bank banking, production and processing, investment finance group have declined.

A total of 23.46 million shares of 219 companies were traded on Tuesday, resulting in a turnover of Rs 11.13 billion.

Barun Hydropower Company is the highest earning company in the market. Mountain Hydro Nepal Company is in the second place.

Share prices of Barun Hydropower Company and Mountain Hydro Nepal Company have risen by nearly 10 percent.
