KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, MAY 23, 2021 – The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has risen by double digits on the first trading day of the week. On this day, the index has increased by 32.81 points and reached 2820 points. The Sensitive Index also rose by 8.23 ​​points to 507.20.

There has also been a huge increase in the transaction amount. A total of 251,63,660 shares of 220 companies have been bought and sold at a price of Rs 11.69 billion on this day.

The group indices of all companies except Hotels and Tourism, Life Insurance and Laghubitta companies have also increased. The largest increase was in the Bikas Bank group by 239 points.

Shares of Karnali Development Bank and Green Development Bank rose 10 percent on the day. Similarly, shares of Mahila Laghubitta, Mahalakshmi Bikas Bank, Shangri-la Development Bank, United Mardi Hydro, Barun and other companies have also risen by more than 9 percent.
