2250 oxygen cylinders are being distributed under the leadership of businessman Malhotra
KATHMANDU: TUESDAY, MAY 18, 2021 – More than 2,250 oxygen cylinders will be brought from Beijing, China and distributed free of cost under the leadership of Deepak Malhotra, Vice President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce. Businessman Malhotra, who is also the chairman of IMS Group, told Makalu Khabar that the cylinders would be distributed free of cost to government hospitals, especially those suffering from Corona infection.
“We initially said we would bring in 2,250 cylinders,” said Malhotra. According to him, the cylinders will be brought and distributed free of cost to the hospitals with the contribution of other members of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce. If they bring cylinders for sale
He said that no plan has been made. “We businessmen will buy oxygen cylinders by raising a certain amount of funds, and we will bring them and give them to the hospitals for free,” he said. There are no sales plans. ‘
On behalf of Malhotra’s DM Foundation, 500 cylinders out of 2250 will be distributed free of cost.
“These cylinders will arrive at the Tatopani port from Beijing by next Sunday,” he said. “They will arrive in Kathmandu on Monday.” After coming to Kathmandu, it will be distributed to government hospitals across the country in district and state centers in coordination with the Chamber of Commerce and other private sector organizations.
He says that the treatment of Covid will be very successful after eliminating the lack of oxygen. He said that they had set up a production plant to produce 80,000 masks daily even last year when there was an acute shortage of masks.
