Contactless card service launched at Machhapuchhre Bank
KATHMANDU: SATURDAY, APRIL 3, 2021 – Machhapuchhre Bank Limited has launched contactless card service with the objective of making transactions through Visa cards more convenient.
The bank has stated that the contactless card service has been brought into operation while providing new and convenient service to the customers.
According to the bank, transactions using contactless cards under the Contactless Card service do not require the PIN of your card to be transacted at the POS (Point of Sales) and transactions can be made easily by tapping on the POS with the ‘Tap and Pay’ facility.
The bank says that you will not need a PIN when paying up to Rs 2,000 using debit and credit cards of the bank under the contactless card and you will have to keep the card PIN number when handling more than Rs 2,000.
The bank has upgraded the service to most of its POS machines with tap and pay facility. To avail the facility, the bank’s customers can contact the nearest branch and get a contactless card, the bank said.
